She read his words over and over again when he was away. She wanted to remember what he thought of her and feel close to him again. She wanted to please him, to make him smile, and make him proud. The world continued to tell her that she wasn't good enough, that she would need to settle. Her blood wasn't royal anyway, it was tainted. Everyone seemed to think that she was crazy.
But he loved everything about her more than anyone else ever could and his words seemed to shake her soul. She believed that he was good and that he would take care of her because his crystal, kind eyes were true. She waited for the day when she could leave her old life completely and join him in his Kingdom.
The more and more I read the words of the Lord I fall deeper and deeper in love with him and long to spend more time getting to know what he's like. I long to see his face one day and experience his glory. I ache to be closer to him but the world, the "old life" and its lies so often get in the way and distract me from the truth of his love.
I talk to so many girls who feel like that have to earn love, who feel completely defeated by life and its obstacles.
He loves you more than you will ever deserve and his love fills the deepest parts of our being. He waits to bless you. Father wrap us in your arms of love and protect us from lies that say we are less than loved by you. You are so good to us, so forgiving, so full of grace and mercy and everything we will ever need.
